Three pairs of curious eyes watched as Sen paced back and forth in the den, wearing a path on the smooth dirt floor. The large Alpha was grumbling and grunting under her breath, sometimes turning in circles as if she might lie down, only to pick up and continue her pacing. The wrinkles on Sen’s muzzle deepened with every sloshy step she took through the half-melted snow. A single warm day was all it had taken to turn the once-crisp snow into a mire of mud and slush. Because of this they had to wait till he was of age to leave his mother before he could come join the little growing pack of Toko's under Hazels care, which by then included Asher and Lucia.
